Privacy Policy

This policy covers joellekaufman.com and gtmflow.com, both operated by Bloomfield Advisors, DBA GTMFlow.
I have written this in plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear, email me at speak@joellekaufman.com and I will explain it.
The short version
I do not sell your data. I do not share it with advertisers. I do not buy lists.
I collect the minimum I need to answer you, send you what you asked for, and understand which pages people find useful. That is the whole of it.
What I collect
When you contact me or fill in a form. Your name, email address, organization, and whatever you write in the message. If you are asking about a speaking engagement, that includes your event date, format, and the outcome you need.
When you book a call. Your name, email, and the time you chose.
When you subscribe. Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
When you buy something. Your name, email, and billing details. Payment card numbers go directly to the payment processor and never reach me or this website.
When you use the chat assistant on the site. What you type into it, so it can answer you.
When you simply visit. Your IP address, browser type, which pages you looked at, and where you arrived from. This is standard web analytics and I use it to tell whether a page is doing its job.
What I do not collect
I do not collect sensitive personal information: health data, financial account details, government identifiers, or anything about your race, religion, politics, or sexual orientation. If you volunteer something like that in a message to me, I treat it as confidential and I do not add it to any marketing list.
The cancer resources on this site do not track you differently from any other page. Reading about cancer here does not put you on a list, does not tag you, and does not follow you around the internet.
Why I collect it
- To reply to you
- To send you the thing you asked for, whether that is a workbook, a newsletter, or a proposal
- To deliver a course or a product you bought
- To understand which content is worth writing more of
- To meet legal and tax obligations
I do not use your data to make automated decisions about you.
Who else touches your data
I run a small business on other people’s software. These companies process data on my behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments. I do not sell or rent your information to any of them, and none of them may use it for their own marketing.

A note on AI
I use an AI assistant, Claude, as a working tool. It helps me draft emails, work through my own notes after a session, and prepare writing. That means information you have shared with me can pass through it.
Three things I want to be clear about. It is not used to make decisions about you. I use a paid plan and do not add client data to the AI learning systems. Nothing you send me is published or shared because it passed through an AI. And I do not put anything into it that I would not put into any other piece of software I use to do my job.
If you are a coaching client and you would rather I did not use it on your material, say so and I will not. No explanation needed, and it won’t change anything else about how we work together.
Cookies
The site sets HubSpot cookies that recognize returning visitors and tell me which pages you read. There are also cookies that keep the chat assistant working across a session.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work. The analytics will simply be less accurate, which costs me a little and costs you nothing.
I do not run advertising pixels, and I do not use retargeting.
If you subscribe, you get what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom, and it takes effect immediately.
I do not add people to lists because they emailed me, booked a call, or bought something. Subscribing is a separate, deliberate act.
How long I keep it
Contact and inquiry records: as long as we might reasonably still be working together, then deleted.
Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe.
Purchase and tax records: as long as the law requires, currently seven years.
Analytics: in aggregate, indefinitely. It stops being about you fairly quickly.
Chat conversations: retained by the chat provider under their retention terms.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask me to:
- Tell you what I hold about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Send you a copy
- Stop emailing you
- Stop processing it
Email joelle@joellekaufman.com and I will do it. I will not make you prove you have a legal right to ask, and I will not charge you.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what is collected and to ask for deletion, and I will not treat you differently for asking.
Security
I chose the services above partly because they take security seriously and encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, I will tell you and the relevant authority within the timeframe the law requires.
Children
This site is for adults, and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given me information, email me, and I will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will change the effective date at the top and, for anything significant, say so in the newsletter.
